During the last few weeks we have been working with emiliogq on a prototype container services specialization that allows to mimic the usual behavior, but mocking the interaction with different processes, by creating and "activating" component instances in the same process, but passing them on to the requesting components.

This allows for simple, quick unit testing, and mocking of components when needed.

We create this ticket to integrate this facility into the ACS framework, because we believe it would be very useful for other people to have access to this functionality.

We also believe, that some of the current complexities of the implementation could be simplified by making this part of the container services design.
